So, where have I been for the past three months? Well, to be more exact, the last 10 weeks.
Those that know me, know that I have been in a bit of a life change. I accepted a new job, and had to relocate. The whole relocation process interrupted my production schedule quite severely. Even after moving, there were a lot of things that needed to be cleaned up / finished, etc. before I was able to get completely settled in my new location (traveling 500+ miles each weekend for several weeks is something that only truckers should be doing, and I have a new respect for them…). Of course, the timing couldn’t have been better / worse in that once I had relocated, the holidays were upon me… Trying to get acclimated to a new location in winter during the holidays is a bit more of a challenge than one might suspect. Add to that a few small mis-haps along the way (which I won’t go into details about) and things kinda got out of hand for a while.
But now, I am close enough to being settled in to my new job, house and life. And now it’s time for me to announce the return of CerebralMix and Cerebral Nights to the cybersapce airwaves this January!
CerebralMix will officially start it’s second season. Many things have changed in the past few months, so there may be a few changes to the show as well…but I haven’t haven’t worked out the details on most of those changes. I can hint at one change: an alternate way to be notified of new episodes of the show (based on a request from one of my listeners).
As for Cerebral Nights it will be continuing in much the same manner as before. However, I hope to add a different dimension to the show’s content based on my explorations of my new environment. But, at least for the next few episodes, I will be focusing on the changes I’ve gone through, a few mis-adventures, and continuing reading of Chances Are. After the completion of Chances Are I have a new story that I have been working on, that is in a completely different style.
BUT WAIT! That’s not all!
In addition, to getting the shows back out into cyberspace, I will be kicking off another project: LinuxTweakers. Expect to see the first few posts on that site in the next couple of weeks. Probably around February or March, I will launch LinuxTweakers OggCast. I’m still working out the details for that show, but I have made a few decisions about it at this point: it’s going to be a semi-irregular show, produced as in an OGG-only format, designed to be a kinda lo-fi, low production show.
Okay, that’s all the announcements for now. I return you to your regular holiday festivities, and I hope you will join me in January for new episodes of all my shows.
